A dry-cycle result describes a defined non-production motion boundary. It does not include every stage that makes an accepted part or sustains output. Compare the dry-cycle field on its own method, then write a separate production-cycle acceptance plan.

EUROMAP 6 Version 2.0 — Determination of the Duration of the Dry Cycle

The official recommendation defines a comparison test for the clamping-unit dry cycle without injection or plasticizing. It specifies the test-block, stroke, force-application, working-temperature, successive-cycle and reporting basis.

Boundary: The method does not establish a production cycle, hourly output, molded-part quality or complete-cell result. A result still needs the exact machine configuration, method edition and as-tested record.

EUROMAP

EUROMAP 102 Draft 1.0 (January 2026) — Technical Data for Injection Molding Machines

The official draft identifies DryCycleTime as a measure of basic machine speed and states that it includes cycle operations except plasticizing, mold filling and cooling of the molded part. Its references include EUROMAP 6.

Boundary: This is Draft 1.0, not a final published standard, production acceptance method or supplier capability record. The draft status and January 2026 edition must remain visible wherever it is used.
